Sapienstone is redefining ceramic surfaces with its latest collection, blending advanced 4D technology with elegant aesthetics to transform interiors into immersive, tactile experiences.
“Surfaces now go beyond simple aesthetics; they create engaging visual and tactile effects,” says Sapienstone, encapsulating the concept behind their new products unveiled at Cersaie 2024. As part of the Iris Ceramica Group, a leader in ceramic innovation, Sapienstone crafts surfaces that deliver a complete sensory experience, captivating both visually and through touch.
At Cersaie 2024, held from September 23 to 27, Sapienstone introduced Silver Wave 4D, Crema Avorio, and Breccia Imperiale—materials that showcase the transformative potential of 4D Ceramic technology. This innovation brings a heightened sense of depth, movement, and tactile richness to surfaces, making them true elements of immersive design.
“Each of these materials is created to give an impression of depth and movement, using light and shadow to enhance the intrinsic qualities of the product,” explains Sapienstone. “Our new collection redefines the role of surfaces, turning them into dynamic elements that elevate and enrich their surroundings.”
A standout feature of Sapienstone’s new materials is 4D Ceramic technology, developed by Iris Ceramica Group. Unlike traditional Full-Body ceramic methods, which mainly focus on terrazzo-type materials, 4D Ceramics integrates veining and shading throughout the entire thickness of the slab. This provides aesthetic continuity across surfaces and edges, enhancing both the appearance and functionality of the materials.
The application of 4D Ceramics transforms each slab into a work of engineering artistry, offering enhanced design flexibility and durability. By adding the “fourth dimension” of sustainability to the three spatial dimensions, Iris Ceramica Group creates materials that embody their core values in both form and function.
Silver Wave 4D is a striking example, featuring a black marble base with silver veining that mimics wave movement. With a lapped finish, this surface provides a smooth touch and fluid look. Thanks to 4D Ceramic technology, the veining extends seamlessly across countertops, tables, and other surfaces, creating a continuous flow of design.
Crema Avorio and Breccia Imperiale bring the natural elegance of marble to interiors, reimagined through the lens of ceramic technology. Crema Avorio offers a soft beige tone with subtle veins, delivering an understated, refined look, while Breccia Imperiale stands out with its rich brown hue and dynamic, tactile veining.
“The tactile qualities of Crema Avorio and Breccia Imperiale result from our cutting-edge production process and the expertise of Iris Ceramica Group,” says Sapienstone. “Our state-of-the-art equipment brings out the intricate veining and unique textures, delivering depth and a pleasing feel to each material.”
Through meticulous craftsmanship and continuous innovation, Sapienstone elevates ceramic surfaces, turning them into sensory-rich design elements. With 4D Ceramic technology and a focus on sustainability, Iris Ceramica Group has reimagined Sapienstone’s surfaces—whether it’s the fluid allure of Silver Wave 4D or the inviting sophistication of Crema Avorio and Breccia Imperiale.
